Park View School Uniform Policy

Park View School expects pupils to dress in a way that supports safety, comfort and readiness to learn.

All students are expected to wear the following uniform:

  • Top: A white polo shirt paired with a navy-blue Park View School sweatshirt/hoody.
  • Bottoms: Black school trousers, black school skirt or plain black jogging pants (strictly no stripes or logos).
  • Alternative for Girls: Plain black gym/sport-type leggings that are appropriate for a school environment (strictly no stripes or logos).
  • PE Kit – As above, separate kit not necessary.

Uniforms can be purchased from the school office;

  • White Polo Shirt with Park View Logo (11/12 + 12/13) £8.00  (S, M, L, XL, XXL) £10.00
  • Crew Neck Sweatshirt with Park View Logo (11/12 + 12/13) £10.00 (S, M, L, XL, XXL) £13.00
  • Hoodie with Park View Logo (YS,YM,S,M,L,XL,XXL) £17.00

Support with uniform

Park View School follows DfE guidance to ensure uniform is affordable. Uniform items do not require a logo and can be purchased from any supermarket or clothing retailer. If families require financial support, please contact the school office or check the links below.

School uniform grants

Families in receipt of free school meals whose children are starting or moving schools in 2026, are to receive supermarket vouchers to help with the cost of school uniforms.

The vouchers are worth up to £70 for those starting secondary school.

This voucher can be accessed via Lightning Reach, a free online portal where people can find and apply for support with their finances and other assistance that is available in our local area.

Second hand school uniforms

The Council usually works with Churches Together South Tyneside, the Key Project and the Salvation Army during the summer holidays to collect and recycle school uniforms.

These uniforms are normally made available to families at the Salvation Army South Shields branch.
